Acrobat

I don’t know if you noticed the Acrobat picture. We had no doubt in using it the moment we started thinking about this blog as a way to share experiences , exchange ideas and (super important) to have some fun.
As all women do (and many men too) we try to balance a thousand tasks and worries at the same time. We become beings in eternal conflict and, in general, blame ourselves: we’re too devoted to work and miss important moments with the family… we spend more time with our families, and don’t have time to prepare for that important meeting… or we don’t meet that dear friend for weeks or months… and end up with no “me” time…. how does one sort all of this out? It’s easy to get organized, there are thousands of tips about this topic on the internet… but we are interested in the personal, the nuances, and in the real way things happen in our everyday lives.
Trying to keep all these plates balanced without letting them fall is an extremely arduous task but despite all of this, we have to learn to not blame ourselves all the time either, indulging in the small things in life, being happy with little gestures such as the short message from a friend who is also managing a crazy agenda, with the quick call from the husband or boyfriend to arrange dinner, with the smile of the colleague who works at the desk nearby.
This Acrobat of our’s has a very special style (*), and in spite of all things that must be “balanced”, he still poses for life. Because that’s how we are, that’s what we try to do everyday: to keep the smile, the lightness, the colourfulness of this Acrobat… and still look great in the picture!
We want to be artists of life; real acrobats looking for fulfillment in everything we do and doing everything at the same time.
It’s not at all easy but we do believe it’s possible. And want to discuss that and much more with you at myway2blog!

(*) The acrobat is in a a special place: this photo was taken in Cologne, on the bridge Hohenzollern, Germany: inspiring and lovely city.
